this was when i decided to test out the site's pens and stuff. i love the half transparent pen, it kinda looks like watercolor at a low opacity. i also like layering the pens instead of drawing it all in one go. that way, i can make a smooth outline first and not have to worry about tracing over color or anything. i like it better than toonator, tbh. toon was starting to get annoying for me to use, and i just got bored of it after a while. i've basically quit, and i could NOT have done it without slim's easy-to-use editor and calm community (ok, not always, but when there aren't petty fights going on, the people here are really chill)
